So you're wondering what we've been up to, huh? It's been busy here, showing our new Utsunomiya JETs around town. We've been to the grocery store, the bank, the 100 Yen stores, the Post Office, the curry place, we've eaten Gyoza, we've had some cold beverages, and we've signed a ba-jillion forms. I certainly haven't been working very hard, except that it's so stinking hot outside, and biking around showing the sights has turned me into one stinky, sweaty, melty, mess. Yesterday I got to go to Tokyo to meet the newest batch of the new JETs. While Utsunomiya has some 400,000 odd people, it was really nice to head into the big city. At the risk of sounding shallow, Tokyo for me is largely about shopping and people watching. It was a great time except for the steady trickle of guilt I felt all day long. While I was frolicking around Tokyo, Zander was here in our apartment, cranking out the funny books and getting things ready for our trip back to our home sweet home. In case you're like us, and counting down the days until we're on the airplane, it's now officially 2 more days. Chipotle, here we come.
