| This is the AirCon. The word "air conditioner" is way too long and way too Latinate for Japanese people to want to pronounce fully. Hence the nickname. This air conditioner literally saved our lives this past summer. You could just hear it struggling against forty degree Centigrade (over 100 F) heat outside our uninsulated apartment. Battle on, brave AirCon! It also doubles as a heater in the winter, although not as effective or inexpensive as our kerosene heater. |
