| This is our washer. It has no hot water, unless we want to heat up water in the shower's boiler, then pour it into the washer when it's starting. So let's just say that our whites aren't the sparklingest whites you've ever seen. Other than that, we love this washer. And it truly is nice to have one in our apartment. Drying clothes, on the other hand, is no picnic in the winter. In the summer it's really no big thing, even though since it's so humid everything takes a long time to dry. But in the winter, we have to put all our clothes on a little rack in the living room and put the whole thing in front of the kerosene heater. Or we take the whole bunch to the laundromat on our bikes and dry it there. You wouldn't believe how good freshly tumble-dried clothes feel. Well, I guess you actually would. |
